I work primarily with busy professionals who have demanding careers, full family lives, and a goal most people think is impossible given their schedule: crossing the finish line at an Ironman or 70.3.

Tedd Girouard
Experience: 3-5 years | Licensed Athletic Trainer
Contact: silvermapleat@gmail.com
How to reach: Email
Services: Triathlon, Swim, Bike, Run
Certifications: USAT Level 1; Licensed Athletic Trainer
Training Platforms: Training Peaks
Athletes: Experienced age-group triathletes, long-course (70.3 and Ironman), short-course athletes who value structure; athletes balancing training with demanding professional and personal lives
Accepting new athletes: Maybe — contact to inquire
Coaching Philosophy:
My coaching philosophy is rooted in evidence-based decision making, athlete education, and long-term development rather than short-term performance fixes. I take a highly individualized approach, using physiology, training history, injury risk, and life context to guide training rather than relying on rigid templates. I prioritize consistency, appropriate load management, and understanding why we are doing what we’re doing. Athletes I work with are encouraged to understand the mechanisms behind their training, how intensity, volume, recovery, and adaptation interact, so they become resilient, self-aware, and durable over time. Health and sustainability are non-negotiable; performance follows when those are respected. I work best with motivated, self-directed athletes who are curious about their training and invested in long-term progression. Many athletes come to me after plateauing, managing recurrent injuries, or looking for a more thoughtful, physiology-driven approach.

Coaching Philosophy:
My philosophy in coaching is simple: if you don’t achieve your goals, neither did I. My focus is on getting you to the start line first, then getting you to the finish. I provide every tool needed to get there and work with all types of athletes, with a preference for beginners and intermediate athletes. I love guiding people from short-course racing all the way up to long course when they’re ready to make that leap.
