DESCRIPTION:Meet outside of Whole Foods at Town Square (time TBD).\n\nWe will run from there to the famous LV sign for a pic (about 1 mile). Please wear LVTC gear/apparel.\n\nFrom there\, some people will run back while others may decide to continue running.\n\nThis event is open to non-LVTC members (but we hope you join!). If you are not a member\, you will need to sign a waiver before starting.

SUMMARY:Corn Creek Bike Ride
DESCRIPTION:Join us March 8th for our Corn Creek Season Kickoff Ride!\n\nWe will meet at the Corn Creek Kickoff Ride at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge at 9:00 am with some going until about noon.\n\nThe Corn Creek ride is an 8 mile (approximately) out-and-back stretch of smooth and relatively flat road with very little traffic. (~ 4 miles each direction) Come any time you’d like and ride as much as you’d like.\n\nPark at the Visitor’s Center\, which is at 16001 Corn Creek Road. Take I-95 North and go about 14 miles past Highway 215. You’ll see signs for Corn Creek Road and the Desert National Wildlife Refuge.\n\nIMPORTANT: Non-members are welcome\, but they MUST sign a waiver before riding with the group. See Bob Gamble\, John Mercer\, or Matt Olson to sign a waiver.\n\n– Speed bumps have been installed on Corn Creek Road – be mindful of them – pass them on the shoulder of the road\, not the center; the road is open to vehicle traffic.\n– When passing someone\, pass only on the left and announce that you are passing before you get there! This is especially important with the speed bumps. Either ring a bell or announce\, “On your left.”\n– The weather in this area will probably be windy and temperatures will be in the low 60s to low 70s. Exercise extra caution in the wind\, especially in your aero position.\n– This is a public road open to traffic\, and its main purpose is access to the Desert National Wildlife Center; obey traffic laws and be mindful of and courteous to drivers.\n– Please use the farthest parking spaces from the Visitor’s Center. Leave the ones closest to the center for folks visiting the Center.
